Edra Publishing interviewed dental industry leaders and authors at the recent International Dental Show (IDS) in Cologne, Germany. 

IDS organizers estimated that attendees numbered 120,000  throughout the convention. This year marked the 100th anniversary of the IDS, which premiered in 1923. The convention featured innovations and modern technologies in digital dentistry.

In this interview, Davide Fazioni, vice president, Global Dental Equipment and Service, at Henry Schein, talked about his recently expanded role at the company. As part of his leadership role, he also oversees the company’s distribution business across Southern Europe.

At IDS 2023, Fazioni said that the company highlighted its corporate products for dental specialties, including orthodontics — Reveal — and endodontics — EdgeEndo — as well as ACE Surgical Supply products. 

In addition, Henry Schein featured whitening products, White Dental Beauty, and instruments including handpieces from B.A. International. 

As the VP overseeing dental equipment and services at Henry Schein, Fazioni said he was especially interested to preview the array of digital dentistry products at IDS 2023.  

“It is a really critical moment for digital equipment,” he said. In the interview, Fazioni underscored the importance of the use of technology and innovation, which is increasing around the world.
