Last week, organizers of the International Dental Show in Cologne, Germany, recognized its 100th anniversary, following the launch of the convention in 1923. This year, the IDS highlighted digital dentistry innovations, although at a show of this size, there are points of interest in all dental fields.

IDS organizers estimated that attendees numbered 50,000 throughout the convention.

In this interview conducted at IDS, Tomasso Albonetti, general manager of Edra Publishing U.S., said that it was essential for Edra to take part in this convention.

"The IDS is one of the main events in the world where industry professionals and clinicians attend from all corners of the world," he said.

Albonetti highlighted two books: "Cosmetic Injectables and Therapeutics", which focuses on clinicians injecting Botox, by Drs. Lisa Germain and Benji Dhillon. He also discussed "Managing Tooth Wear - A Comprehensive Guide for General Practice", authored by Dr. Andrea Shepperson.

"Our expectations are very high, as always when we come to IDS," said Albonetti. "We want to interact with as many visitors, doctors and industry representatives as possible and show the dental sector our services and capabilities."
