Dental infection control to near 5% growth

The global market for dental infection control products was forecast to grow at a rate of 4.7% CAGR. The market’s value was predicted to reach $1.6 billion by the end of 2026 after a value of $1.2 billion in 2020. The market was projected to grow at a CAGR of 4.7% across the forecast period of 2020 to 2026. 

In the US and European markets, the uptick was thought to be attributable to increasing rates of dental infections, demand for cosmetic procedures and dental procedures, high rates of dental insurance coverage, and high amounts of disposable income, and a plethora of new product pipelines and innovations. 

The market in the US was forecast to be worth $416.6 million in 2021, which amounts to a 35.19% portion of the overall global market for dental infection control products.

Within the market, the consumables segment was projected to make up 44.6% of the total market. Growth in the segment was thought to be due to an interest in dental procedures and cosmetic dental options. Short cycle consumables and technological improvements have also added to the growth in the segment.

The consumables market is forecast to grow at a rate of 5.2% CAGR and reach a value of $965 million by the end of 2026. At the same time, the equipment segment was projected to grow at 3.9% CAGR across the next 7 years, an increase that was readjusted after the impact of the pandemic.
