GMI: Clear aligners to surpass $46B

The global market for clear aligners is forecast to reach a value of more than $46.5 billion by 2030, based on a report by market analysts, Global Market Insights, Inc. The growth across the market was expected to reach a CAGR of 28.0% across the analysis period of 2022 to 2030. 

Interest in aesthetic dental treatments and the ease and accessibility of clear aligners were expected to drive market growth. Advances in technology and variation across the clear aligner market has also led to a number of new materials being used in aligners, more precise software for treatment planning, and increased convenience and results for patients. 

In addition, 3-D printing and CAD-CAM technology have increased customization and treatment options. 

Across the market, the segment for adults using clear aligner systems is expected to reach a value of $32.4 billion by 2030.  By type of facility utilizing clear aligners, the dental orthodontic clinic segment was forecast to increase across 2022 to 2030 by a CAGR of 28.3%. 

Moving forward, the market is expected to grow further based on the high rate of malocclusions. Within the industrial portion of the market, growth is expected to be spurred by advances in technology. Business activities such as partnerships, collaborations, and new product launches have added to strategic growth activities across the market.
