The new Planmeca Viso G1 is the result of more than 20 years of pioneering R&D in CBCT imaging. The full-featured imaging system from Planmeca offers all the essential imaging programs for dentistry, from panoramic to 3D dental and TMJ imaging programs.
The versatile system is equipped with all the latest sensor technology. For cephalometric analyses and orthodontic treatment planning, the unit can also be equipped with a lightning-fast one-shot cephalostat. At the same time, the unit’s robust build and reliable tube head with a 90 kV voltage can withstand even the heaviest daily workloads, ensuring consistently great images time after time, according to the company.
The new imaging unit enables easy and smooth patient positioning, while the open architecture reduces the discomfort of confined spaces and allows the patient to always face the user. FOV selection is easy and intuitive thanks to the virtual patient on the control panel, which can also be mirrored on the workstation for a more convenient and personalized workflow. The device offers volume sizes up to 11 x 11 cm, and the FOV can be adjusted freely after scout imaging.
As with all Planmeca Viso 3D units, this unit is complemented by several proprietary and scientifically proven optimization solutions. These include Planmeca CALM, the company’s revolutionary algorithm for motion artefact correction, and the Planmeca Ulatr Low Dose protocol, which significantly lowers effective patient doses in line with the ALADA principle without compromising diagnostic image quality. Additionally, the device features a high-resolution endodontic mode as well as AI-based noise optimization for detailed high-precision imaging.
The Planmeca Viso G1 works seamlessly with the celebrated Planmeca Romexis all-in-one software, which includes all the tools you need for dental diagnostics and treatment planning. The new AI-powered smart tools introduced in Romexis 7 further support and enhance the daily workflows of dental professionals. Additionally, Planmeca Viso G1 can be added to the Planmeca Insights IoT solution for analytics, predictive maintenance planning, and uptime optimization.
“Planmeca Viso G1 is a complete imaging system that comes with all the features a dental professional could wish for,” stated Timo Müller, vice president of Planmeca’s x-ray division, in a press release announcing the launch. “We’re incredibly proud of the imaging technology, R&D, and all the usability innovations that this new device brings to the market. With this launch, we can truly state that the Planmeca Viso product family offers high-quality CBCT capabilities for any and all clinical needs in oral and maxillofacial care.”
