The Aspen Group (TAG), one of the largest and fastest-growing retail healthcare business support organizations in the U.S., recently announced a new partnership with Planmeca to bring advanced digital imaging technology to Aspen Dental locations nationwide.
Following a rigorous evaluation process, Planmeca’s Viso and ProMax CBCT imaging units were selected, along with Planmeca ProX, ProSensor HD, and ProX GO 2D intraoral imaging systems, to be integrated across Aspen Dental’s network of more than 1,100 locations.
These units feature Planmeca CALM® technology, which minimizes retakes caused by patient movement, delivering a faster, more efficient experience for patients. Additional benefits include a larger diagnostic field of view and Planmeca Ultra Low Dose imaging protocol for enhanced safety.
Henry Schein, Inc., a longstanding and trusted solutions partner of TAG, was instrumental in aligning the teams to deliver comprehensive support. With a nationwide network of over 900 highly skilled technicians, Henry Schein will support the installation and integration of new equipment and technologies across Aspen Dental’s existing practices and new office locations. The Aspen Dental network can also participate in Henry Schein’s Protect Warranty Program, ensuring extended coverage, protection, and ongoing support for this investment.
“Henry Schein and Planmeca have a shared commitment to providing practitioners with high-quality, innovative solutions that ultimately enhance patient care,” said Steven Kizy, vice president and general manager of Henry Schein’s U.S. Dental Group. “We are pleased to provide our combined offering to Aspen Dental’s network of over 1,100 dental offices.”
Beyond hardware, Aspen Dental offices have chosen to implement the Planmeca Romexis all-in-one software platform and Planmeca Insights™ to unlock real-time device data. This integration of smart, IoT-enabled devices will allow Aspen Dental to monitor and predict equipment performance, improve operational efficiency, and further enhance patient care workflows across its national footprint.
“At Aspen Dental, we are committed to providing clinicians access to the most advanced tools and technologies available. Partnering with Planmeca ensures that every Aspen Dental-branded practice is equipped with state-of-the-art imaging solutions that enhance diagnostic precision, streamline clinical workflows, and support doctors in delivering high-quality dental care,” said Dr. Arwinder Judge, chief clinical officer at Aspen Dental. “The investment reflects Aspen’s ongoing mission to empower doctors with the resources they need to provide exceptional dentistry to their patients.”
The partnership builds on TAG’s existing relationship with Planmeca, whose imaging solutions are already used across the ClearChoice Dental Implant Center® network. At ClearChoice, the Planmeca Viso® has become the centerpiece of digital treatment planning thanks to its AI-enhanced image quality and low-radiation capabilities.
“Planmeca imaging units are globally recognized for their exceptional performance and reliability. Our mission is to provide healthcare practitioners worldwide with cutting-edge technology that supports accurate diagnostics, optimizes treatment planning, and elevates patient care,” said Heikki Kyöstilä, president, CEO, and founder of Planmeca Group. “We are honored that The Aspen Group has selected our solutions to elevate patient experiences across the United States. This partnership reflects our strong commitment to the U.S. dental community, and we are excited to expand our support for dental practices and radiology centers nationwide with the latest advancements in imaging technology.”
“We are proud to expand our partnership with The Aspen Group and that they chose to place their confidence in the Planmeca solution,” stated Planmeca USA President Glen Kendrick. “Our experience working with the teams at ClearChoice Dental Implant Center—from the first installation to the growth of their 100th location—has been positive, enabling them to uphold the high standards of their brand.”
