Developing teeth-friendly pacifier hits the market

Katherine E. Pfaff

Philips Avent, a mother, and childcare product corporation, has launched a new line of products, including an orthodontic-friendly pacifier. The new line is designed to aid in feeding babies and to support growth and development.

"Philips Avent spent over five years researching and developing these latest updates to our legacy offerings to ensure that the brand continues to meet the evolving need of parents now and in the future," said Brenda Kapner, director at Philips Avent.

Called the"Soothie Heart" the new pacifier is made up of one piece of silicone and is designed to assist in oral development by mimicking the curve of a face. The design does not impede the gums, palate, and teeth and is approved by the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines.
