The global market for clear aligners is forecast to reach a value of $6 billion by 2032, according to a report by analysis firm, Fact.MR. The projected increase marks a CAGR of 32.4% across the forecast period of 2022 to 2032. The market value in 2021 was $3.2 billion.
The prediction was based on the high rates of dental disease, such as tooth decay, across the globe, which is based in part on the changing diets and lifestyles of populations across the globe. Rates of dental illness are expected to boost the growth in the market.
At the same time, the market is growing as the demand for an alternative to traditional braces. Advancing technologies, such as CAD- and CAM-designed or 3-D printed aligners. Clear aligners may also attain significant insurance reimbursement.
By segment, the most common age of clear aligner users is adults (60%) in 2021. The same trend is expected to continue in the current report period.
By region, the US area held 35% of the market in 2021, and is forecast to continue its lead of the market.
