Following a slowdown last year, the general dental market is expected to reach a value of $15.57 billion with a CAGR of 7.2% by 2025, according to market analyst firm, Reportlinker.com. The market, defined as general dental equipment and services, contracted during COVID-19 due to mandatory shutdowns and social distancing measures; the 2020 market value of $15 billion shrunk to $11.81 billion in 2021.
The increase is tied to advances in dental care equipment such as 3D printers and scanners and an increase in poor dental habits, including improper brushing and diet high in sugary foods and drinks.
