The education-first program offered learning for the entire dental practice, with practical insights spanning the full patient journey and focused on improving workflows, collaboration, and patient care.
DS World Las Vegas 2026 wrapped on September 26 after three days of clinical education at the MGM Grand. Reimagined as a biennial, education-first event, this year’s program offered more than 70 hands-on clinical training sessions, more than 35 expert-led lectures, and the opportunity to earn up to 15 continuing education credits. Dentists, specialists, hygienists, assistants, practice managers, and laboratory professionals from 16 countries came together for learning designed for practical application across the dental practice.
Education followed the full patient journey — from prevention and diagnosis to restoratively driven orthodontics, endodontics, implant therapy, peri-implantitis management, and partial-arch rehabilitation. Sessions explored how connected digital workflows, innovative materials, and collaborative partnerships help clinicians deliver more predictable treatment outcomes.
Main-stage speakers, including Dr. Melonie MacDonald, Dr. Luciano Retana, Dr. Sejal Thacker, and Dr. Vishal Sharma, shared practical perspectives on emerging clinical approaches and how dental teams can apply them to improve workflows and patient care.
“One of the most rewarding moments as an educator is seeing an idea click for a colleague. You can almost see the connection happen as they begin thinking about how they’ll apply it in their own practice and ultimately improve care for their patients. That’s what makes events like DS World so special. Dentistry is a community built on sharing knowledge, learning from one another, and helping each other grow. Having the opportunity to contribute to that exchange has been incredibly fulfilling,” said Dr. Van Huffel, who also participated in the General Session.
The practical, workflow-focused education resonated with attendees. As one participant shared: “I took an amazing course on implant workflows that I’m going to apply right away. I picked up some really good pearls on treatment planning, how to make it more efficient, and how to leverage the software in a better way so we can achieve the growth and outcomes we’re hoping for.”
“We built DS World around one goal: that dental professionals leave with ideas and tools they can put to work in their practices on Monday morning,” said Mark Bezjak, Group Vice President, Americas, at Dentsply Sirona. “By bringing technology, knowledge, and people together, we can help create better outcomes for practices and patients.”
DS World Las Vegas also showcased the work of three of Dentsply Sirona’s key community engagement partners : Smile Train, TeamSmile, and Dental Lifeline Network. Representatives from the three organizations connected with attendees during the event and shared opportunities for dental professionals to contribute their skills and time to communities in need.
Dentsply Sirona’s commitment to clinical education extends well beyond DS World, with learning opportunities offered throughout the year. The company works with educators, clinicians, dental teams, and industry partners to deliver hands-on training, courses, and events that support clinical excellence, collaboration, and better patient care.
