Align to open new facility to serve EMEA market

Katherine E. Pfaff

Align Technology Inc., a medical device firm which manufacturers Invisalign, iTero scanners, and CAD/CAM for restorative orthodontics, will open a new facility to reach EMEA customers, estimated at 150 million. The San Jose, California-headquartered company will open the manufacturing center to reach what are considered underpenetrated markets in Africa, Europe, and Middle East.

The new plant is anticipated to be operational in 2022, and to ship Invisalign products by 2024. The company currently has a network of more than 60,000 practitioners trained for Invisalign, and the facility will allow for local service to customers.
