Katherine E. Pfaff

Despite a revision based on COVID-19, the dental biomaterials market is still expected to grow from its 2020 global value of $7.5 billion to reach $10.6 billion by 2027, according to a report by Research and Markets. In the US, the 2020 dental biomaterials market is valued at $2 billion.

The worldwide biomaterials sector is anticipated to grow at a 5% CAGR from 2020 to 2027. China is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.7% for the same period. Growth will be driven in part by the ceramic segment, projected to hold $3.8 billion of the market and grow at a 4.7% CAGR. The metallic portion of the market has been revised to a CAGR of 4.8%. Polymeric is expected to capture 4.7% CAGR.
