In a bid to make flossing more appealing and environmentally friendly, a startup, Flaüs, has launched its direct-to-consumer electric flosser. The device uses sonic vibrations (12,000 per minute) and replaceable floss and keeps the patient’s hands out of their mouth while also getting to hard-to-reach places in the mouth with an ergonomically shaped handle.
The device is intended to replace traditional floss and flossers, which create more waste, part of which is plastic. Flaüs’ floss heads are biodegradable. The device also includes LED tracking to help patients keep up with using the device.
