Samia Family Dentistry Gives Back to Veterans

Samia Family Dentistry of Garner is proud to give back to those who have served our country by hosting a Free Dental Care Day for Veterans on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

During this special event, veterans will receive free dental services—namely fillings, extractions, cleanings, crowns, X-rays, fluoride, and consultations—as a gesture of gratitude for their dedication and sacrifice. Dr. Paul Samia and the team at Samia Family Dentistry understand that access to dental care can be challenging for many veterans, and this initiative is designed to help ease that burden while showing appreciation for their service.

Even if a veteran in the community doesn’t become one of the approximately 32,800 total homeless veterans in the country, as estimated in January 2024, those who have served in the military can still feel lonely and separated from the camaraderie, identity, and purpose they felt while in the service. In fact, about half of veterans have these experiences. As a result, combined with any trauma they experienced, veterans have a higher likelihood of developing poor physical and mental health.

Originally from Wake Forest, Dr. Samia knows the feeling of belonging to a greater community, which is why he prioritizes volunteer work, service, and building up those around him. In fact, in the past, he has provided his dental skills and time for charitable initiatives, including Mission of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile, and a dental mission to Kenya, to improve the lives of patients who don’t typically have access to essential care. Even after Veterans Day this year, Dr. Samia will honor veterans in the best way he can—by giving them smiles!

“Our veterans have given so much for us and our freedoms. This is our way of giving something back to them,” said Dr. Samia. “We want to make sure that every veteran in our community knows they are valued, respected, and cared for.”

To take advantage of this free dental care for veterans, participants need to present a valid veteran ID. Veterans are also strongly encouraged to call ahead of November 14 to reserve their spot, though walk-ins will also be welcomed as availability allows.

Samia Family Dentistry invites local media, organizations, and the community to help spread the word so that as many veterans as possible can take advantage of this opportunity.
