CEREC takes another big step forward with the introduction of CEREC Primemill, the brand new milling and milling unit from Dentsply Sirona. Thanks to its cutting-edge technology, it will be possible to create a wide range of chairside restorations with a simpler and faster work flow, guaranteeing exceptional results. Together with CEREC Primescan and the CEREC software, CEREC Primemill creates a modern configuration to obtain predictable results with a completely new experience in the chair, both for the user and for the patient.
CEREC Primemill is equipped with a powerful 7-inch touch interface, an integrated camera for scanning the blocks with matrix code and an RFID reader for reading information on the instruments; it is compatible with a wide range of materials and its new design offers a much smoother operation.
In the development of the new CEREC Primemill, particular attention was paid to its ease of use: the large touch interface guides the user through all the steps of the workflow. Each phase of the workflow, in fact, is displayed according to the sequence of the process and shows, for example, the selected processing option and the tools used for the chosen material. The instruments are color coded according to the material to be processed and are therefore easily distinguishable; each instrument also contains a small radio frequency identification (RFID) chip which can be detected by a reader integrated in CEREC Primemill. The machine informs the user about the status of the instrument and if, or when, it must be replaced with a new one. This new guided process makes it even easier to delegate machine operation.
Restorations, especially zirconia ones, can be milled even faster thanks to new tools and improved technology. The time needed to fabricate a zirconia crown has been reduced by more than half: a milling that previously required about 10-12 minutes is now achieved in just 5 minutes using the new Super Fast mode. The results speak for themselves: using very thin tools (0.5 mm) of new conception in the Extra Fine milling mode, the unit achieves a high level of detail for the occlusal grooves and for the interdental areas on the bridges, allowing users to obtain predictable and excellent results.
CEREC Primemill guarantees a superior experience compared to previous models. Moreover it can guarantees to the patient aesthetics and quality.
