Sentinel: 123Dentist and Altima partner

 Private equity firm, Sentinel Capital Partners, has closed a merger of DSOs Altima Dental and 123Dentist. While details of the transaction were not provided, the financing was provided by Peloton Capital Management, a private equity sponsor of 123Dentist, along with KKR investment firm and Heartland Dental. 

"As a dentist-led organization for nearly 30 years, we have focused on bringing to patient care a dentist perspective as we built Altima Dental. Because 123Dentist has a similar focus, this combination will enable our supported dentists to continue to deliver an exceptional patient experience to Canadians," said Dr. George Christodoulou and Dr. Sven Grail, co-Founders and co-chief executive officers of Altima Dental. "Now, as part of the 123Dentist family, we are incredibly well-positioned to further develop our capabilities as one of the leading dental support organizations in Canada."

Sentinel retains a stake of minority equity in the company that is now combined. The merger plan was announced in July and would create a national network of 350 clinics and over 800,000 patients.
