Journal of Dental Research to publish special issue on aging, oral health


The International Association for Dental Research (IADR) and American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) have announced the publication in July 2023 of a Special Issue of Journal of Dental Research entitled, “Aging and Oral Health.” The journal will feature Bei Wu, New York University, and Ana Paula Vieira Colombo, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as guest editors, according to a news release.

Several articles that will be included in the issue are available for viewing now at the JDR website, including:

The full Special Issue will cover numerous topics related to new advances in the biological mechanisms underpinning aging and the role of oral health in age-related conditions such as cognitive decline. It will also explore novel ideas for improving oral health care in the population as a means for promoting general health in older people.
