Market analytics company, Emergen Research, forecasts that the global dental 3D printing market will reach a growth rate of 26.5% CAGR during 2028, according to a report on the topic. The market is anticipated to reach a value of $12.46 billion in 2028. 

The worldwide dental 3D printing market is projected to grow based on greater interest in cosmetic dental care, and on the opposite end of the spectrum, to manage dental health and overall health. 3D printing can be utilized in cosmetic care as cosmetic dental devices are better placed and fit with 3D printing, according to the report. 3D printing allows for the precise creation of products with minute details and products that can be easily reproduced. 

The process of 3D printing also includes measurement of the jaw for the creation of the products for surgical reconstruction procedures. At the same time, the use of 3D printing also means that patients are not exposed to as much radiation as traditional imaging; 3D printing uses cone-beam computed tomography.
