Dental labs to grow by more than 12%

Katherine E. Pfaff

The global market for dental labs is forecast to grow by a CAGR of 12.4%, according to a report by Data Bridge Market Research. The growth rate is projected over the period of 2022 to 2029.

An increase in the market is expected as innovation has driven demand. In addition, the number of small and local dental laboratories has increased and allowed for the ability to offer a wider range of products at a lower price.

The dental laboratory market has also been boosted by the number of aging patients who have more difficulty maintaining oral health. This is thought to be due to the inability to complete regular dental care routines, particularly for patients who are disabled, are unable to leave their homes, or are living in an assisted living facility.

Aesthetic dental options have also broadened the demand for products from dental labs. The breadth of media used by dental labs have propelled growth.
