OsteoGen™: Beyond Socket Preservation

The OsteoGen™ Composite graft line uses the same biomimetic, bioactive crystal technology to harness the body’s ability to heal itself.

Whether you currently use the OsteoGen Plug® or are simply familiar with it, you probably know it for its simplicity, handling characteristics, and dependability in socket preservation. But OsteoGen™ goes well beyond the socket. The same Bioactive Crystal Technology (BCT) is available across a complete line of composite grafting solutions designed for a variety of clinical applications.

The introduction of OsteoGen Plug® brought clinicians a simple, efficient, and cost-effective approach to socket preservation.

The OsteoGen Plug® is the only composite grafting plug that has Bioactive Crystal Technology (BCT). BCT describes the ability of the biomimetic OsteoGen™ crystals to actively influence the peri-defect area by providing Ca⁺, PO 4 and OH⁻ ions in the correct physiologic levels to positively influence the regeneration of bone in the socket.

The same matrix of OsteoGen™ crystals and Type I bovine collagen is available in various site-specific forms to address just about any clinical situation that arises.

In addition to OsteoGen Plug®, available in three sizes—Slim, Large, and XL—the portfolio includes OsteoGen Strip® and OsteoGen Block®. OsteoGen Strip® is available in two sizes, Small and Large, and is designed for applications including jump-gap grafting during immediate implant placement and onlay grafting. The Strip features the same proprietary combination of OsteoGen™ crystals and purified Type I bovine collagen, maintaining the handling characteristics and bioactive properties on peri-graft bone associated with OsteoGen™ technology.

The OsteoGen Block® has been optimized for the repair of larger defects and lateral sinus elevations. Its 15 mm x 17 mm size is versatile and can be trimmed as needed. Once placed and hydrated with the patient’s blood, the Block becomes moldable, allowing it to closely adapt to the grafting site.

The Block incorporates non-sintered Bioactive Crystal Technology to support bone regeneration in larger, more demanding defects. It also serves as an alternative to autografts, allograft blocks, and xenograft composite grafts and can be used as a carrier for PRF or other growth factors.

From socket preservation to larger grafting applications, the OsteoGen™ product family gives clinicians versatile options built around the same Bioactive Crystal Technology.

Real Regeneration. Real Efficacy. Real Value.
