Greater New York Dental Meeting 2025 Wraps With New Launches, Packed Education, and Major Changes Ahead

New York, NY – Wednesday marked the close of another successful Greater New York Dental Meeting (GNYDM), concluding several days of product launches, high-level scientific education, and bustling networking at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

This year’s meeting opened on Friday, November 28, beginning with its education programming, while the exhibit hall remained active from November 30 through December 3.

Strong attendance and a dynamic exhibition floor

Across the four-day exhibition, attendees navigated hundreds of booths presenting the latest technologies in restorative dentistry, implantology, hygiene, digital workflows, and practice development. Many exhibitors took advantage of New York’s international audience to debut products and unveil new technologies to the North American market.

Digital dentistry continued to dominate conversations—particularly intraoral scanning, same-day prosthetics, 3D-printed workflows, and AI-enhanced diagnostics. A number of manufacturers highlighted updated milling systems, chairside CAD/CAM platforms, and expanded material options aimed at simplifying restorative decision-making and reducing chair time.

Education remained a cornerstone

While innovations on the exhibit floor drew attention, the education program once again proved to be a defining element of GNYDM. Top speakers from around the world led packed lectures on implant surgery, esthetic dentistry, laser applications, oral pathology, and preventive care trends.

Specialized tracks for hygienists, laboratory technicians, assistants, and practice managers reflected a growing commitment to multidisciplinary team education. Hands-on workshops and live demonstrations remained a highlight, providing real-time exposure to cutting-edge procedures and clinical techniques.

A strong focus on early-career professionals

Sunday featured the New Dentist Reception, a growing initiative designed to support dentists in their first decade of practice. Programs focused on career development, practice acquisition, financial literacy, and clinical confidence—areas of rising importance to emerging professionals.

Also on Sunday, the scientific poster session brought academic and clinical research to the forefront, offering opportunities for residents, graduate students, and early-career scientists to share new data and connect with industry leaders and educators.

Looking ahead: a major scheduling change

In a significant announcement, GNYDM confirmed that the exhibition format will shift in 2026. Instead of a four-day exhibit hall running through Wednesday, the floor will be reduced to three days.

  • 2026 Exhibit Dates: November 29 – December 1
  • Education Program: November 27 – December 1

The change reflects growing demand for a more concentrated trade-show timeframe, aligning with professional travel trends and maximizing exhibitor impact within a shorter schedule.

Why the GNYDM continues to matter

Few meetings in dentistry combine the scale of an international exhibition with the scientific depth and educational caliber seen annually in New York. Its traditional timing—right after Thanksgiving—has become a professional milestone, allowing industry, clinicians, and academia to connect before the end of the year.

As one attendee noted during the show, “GNYDM is where the global dental community meets to close the year, see what’s coming next, and bring home new ideas for our practices.”

Final Thoughts

With a strong turnout, active lecture rooms, and a surge of new product activity, the 2025 edition of the Greater New York Dental Meeting reaffirmed its status as one of the most important dental events in North America.

As the industry prepares for a shorter, more concentrated format next year, anticipation is already building for the 102nd edition in 2026, where dentistry will once again converge in New York City for innovation, education, and professional collaboration.
