Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has announced the sale of Broxburn Dental Practice in Broxburn, West Lothian.
Established in 1996, Broxburn Dental Practice is a three-surgery, predominantly NHS practice with a growing database of over 10,400 registered patients.
Following a confidential sales process with Joel Mannix at Christie & Co, and with funding sourced through Stephen McConalogue at Christie Finance, the practice has been sold to sisters Maria Guillermina Landivar Taborga and Vivian Carolina Landivar Taborga, who plan to continue providing the high-quality service the practice is known for.
Maria Guillermina Landivar Taborga, the new owner of Broxburn Dental Practice, commented, “Carolina and I both grew up, studied, and graduated as dentists in Madrid over 20 years ago. Since then, we have worked as general dental practitioners (GDPs) in Madrid and various cities across the UK. We settled and started our families in Edinburgh, where we also pursued several postgraduate studies over the years. Purchasing a practice together felt like a natural step in our personal and professional growth. We found Broxburn Dental Practice to be precisely suited to our needs and envisioned it as the perfect foundation for the practice we wanted to build. Our goal is to help Broxburn Dental Practice reach its full potential over the coming years, offering a wider range of high-quality services to our diverse patient base.”
Joel Mannix, head of dental at Christie & Co, commented, “We were in discussions with the previous owner for a couple of years regarding his retirement plans, and we are thrilled to have secured a deal with a great pair of first-time buyers. This reflects the current Scottish dental market, where independent operators and first-time buyers are playing a dominant role.”
Stephen McConalogue, associate director at Christie Finance, added, “I was happy to secure funding for another first-time buyer. The deal had its challenges along the way, but it was very much a team effort between Joel and me to get it completed. The dental market has remained strong in 2024, allowing many associates to purchase their first practices. With interest rates dropping again, I expect this trend to continue into 2025.”
