MRFR: Dental CAD/CAM market to grow at 11.57% CAGR

Katherine E. Pfaff

The global dental CAD/CAM market is expected to continue to grow, reaching a value of $2,561.31 million by 2027, according to market research firm, Market Research Future (MRFR). Growth is expected to proceed at 11.57% CAGR by 2027, according to the report.

The uptick is anticipated based on the utility of CAD/CAM design in restorative dental procedures, by helping to reduce the time and difficulty in design and manufacturing, and by helping to guide the placement of dental devices or implants. It’s expected that procedures aided by CAD/CAM can be executed at reduced cost as well.

As the speed of design increases, the number of procedures that can be completed in a given time also increases, which is necessary as the demand for dental procedures goes up in parallel to growing dental disease rates.

Within the global dental CAD/CAM market, prosthetics in dentistry take the largest part of the market due to cosmetic dentistry, and higher rates of dental caries. America also takes the largest share of the market by region as the dental disease rates are high.
