Dr. Anita M. Sung, DDS, was recognized as part of the Continental Who’s Who list as a “Trusted Dentist” across her 30 years in practice in Maryland, DC, and other areas. Her dental surgery practice focuses on implants, molar root canals, supernumerary teeth, and mesiodens teeth, as well as impacted molar extractions. In the future, Dr. Sung will be opening a private dental surgery practice to serve patients in her community.
Dr. Sung earned her BS in Chemistry from Duke University, earned a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dental Surgery in Baltimore, and earned a Master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Hygiene and Public Health.
Dr. Sung was awarded the Public Health Service Isolated Hardship Award in 1991 and the National Defense Award in 1995, received a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry in 2003 and was granted the People-to-People Ambassadorship in 2004. Dr. Sung has been involved with the American Dental Association from 1990-2018 and 2020-present and with the Academy of General Dentistry from 1990-present.
