A Personalized Dental Surgery Recovery App Designed to Help Patients Feel More Supported Before and After Treatment
AmpliHeal guides patients through food, hydration, no-chew rules, daily recovery actions, symptom awareness, follow-up reminders, nutrition and hydration support, saliva testing, and a shareable Recovery Summary.
Vivian Roknian, DMD, DICOI, FICD, a Beverly Hills dentist, implant and laser educator, and founder of AmpliHeal, has announced the launch of AmpliHeal, a personalized dental surgery recovery support app designed to help patients feel more prepared before surgery and more guided after they leave the dental office.
AmpliHeal is available now through Studio at https://studio.com/apps/vivian-roknian/ampliheal .
Additional information is available at www.AmpliHeal.com .
The app was created to address a familiar problem in dentistry: Patients often leave the office with instructions, good intentions, and then many questions once they get home.
“Patients want to do the right thing after surgery,” said Dr. Roknian. “The problem is that the real questions often start after they leave the office.”
AmpliHeal turns the recovery process into a daily plan that helps patients understand what to eat, what to drink, what to avoid, what to track, and when to contact their dental office. The app supports patients before and after procedures such as extractions, bone grafting, sinus lifts, dental implants, immediate dentures, full-arch implant surgery, laser surgery, and implant rescue or peri-implantitis-related recovery support.
Unlike a generic post-op handout, AmpliHeal places food, fluids, protein, energy, and no-chew guidance at the center of recovery support. The app helps patients understand texture restrictions, soft or liquid food options, hydration needs, electrolyte support when relevant, and the importance of following clinician-directed chewing instructions.
For full-arch implant patients, AmpliHeal repeatedly reinforces one of the most misunderstood recovery rules: Temporary teeth do not automatically mean normal chewing is allowed. Patients receive reminders to follow their clinician’s no-chew or texture-restricted instructions and to ask before advancing their diet.
In addition to app-based recovery coaching, AmpliHeal includes nutrition and hydration support products, recovery-focused food guidance, and saliva-based oral microbiome testing using shotgun metagenomics. Nutrition and hydration products are available for order, with current fulfillment expected after a short backorder period. Together, these tools are designed to help patients and dental teams move beyond generic instructions and toward more organized, personalized recovery support before and after surgery.
As patients use the app, AmpliHeal can personalize guidance based on procedure type, surgery timing, daily check-ins, food preferences, cultural food preferences, allergy and sensitivity categories, recovery restrictions, eating ability, hydration status, energy, symptoms, and follow-up needs. The app learns more about the patient’s preferences and recovery needs over time, helping the guidance become more relevant as the patient continues to use it.
AmpliHeal also includes a patient-controlled Recovery Summary that can organize check-ins, food and fluid progress, symptoms, missed goals, reminders, notes, testing information, and next-step prompts into a shareable summary for the dental team. This helps patients stay connected to follow-up care, restoration planning, maintenance, and the next stage of treatment rather than disappearing once immediate discomfort improves.
“Recovery is not just about whether pain is better,” said Dr. Roknian. “Patients need to know how to stay nourished, hydrated, protected, and connected to the next step in their treatment.”
AmpliHeal is already drawing interest from clinicians looking for a better way to support patients before surgery and throughout their recovery. The app is designed to complement, not replace, the dental team. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, clear patients for surgery, confirm healing, interpret laboratory results, or replace direct medical or dental care.
“Dental surgery is a major investment for patients,” said Dr. Roknian. “AmpliHeal was built to help patients protect that investment by staying organized, following instructions, and knowing when to ask for help.”
AmpliHeal is a personalized dental surgery recovery support platform created to help patients prepare for and recover from dental procedures with daily guidance around food, fluids, protein, hydration, no-chew rules, site protection, symptom awareness, follow-up reminders, and patient-controlled Recovery Summary documentation.
The AmpliHeal ecosystem includes procedure-specific app guidance, nutrition and hydration support products, recovery-focused food recommendations, and saliva-based oral microbiome testing using shotgun metagenomics. Nutrition and hydration products are available for order, with current fulfillment expected after a short backorder period.
AmpliHeal supports recovery after procedures including extractions, bone grafting, sinus lifts, dental implants, immediate dentures, full-arch implant surgery, laser surgery, and implant rescue or peri-implantitis-related recovery support.
The app can help organize patient check-ins, food and fluid progress, symptoms, missed goals, reminders, notes, testing information, and next-step prompts into a shareable Recovery Summary for the dental team. This helps patients stay connected to follow-up care, restoration planning, maintenance, and the next stage of treatment.
AmpliHeal is an educational recovery support tool. It does not replace a clinician, clinical exam, diagnosis, treatment plan, medication instructions, laboratory interpretation, emergency care, or direct communication with the dental office. AmpliHeal products and testing support recovery planning and patient education; they do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.
