Medi+ssage chooses Tebra’s complete operating system

Tebra announced on April 3 that Medi+ssage, a pain management practice in Tempe, Arizona, has chosen its complete operating system for practice success. According to a news release, the Tebra platform is built on the strength of both Kareo and PatientPop solutions.

Medi+ssage uses Kareo Clinical and Kareo Billing to enhance its financial and clinical effectiveness and PatientPop Practice Growth technology to attract and retain new patients.

Executive director Arricka Watkins’s licensed massage therapy practice is unique in that it leverages medical massage therapy as a form of long-term pain management. Watkins recently rebranded her business, and PatientPop’s practice growth solution helped her simplify how patients provide feedback and generated more than 27 new reviews over a 12-month period that improved the average rating on Google.

The practice generated almost 5,000 website visits over a 12-month period — a 100% improvement — resulting in an uptick in new business. Using PatientPop’s SEO support, it also achieved 25 #1 rankings across Yahoo and Bing for massage therapy search queries.

Watkins also selected Tebra’s integrated EHR and billing platform because of its adaptability and functionality. Since Medi+ssage doesn’t have traditional diagnostic codes and its primary patient base is veterans, it needed a platform that had the ability to customize documentation and make it easier and faster to receive insurance reimbursements. As Watkins continues to create a solid foundation for Medi+ssage, they rely on Tebra’s dedicated customer success team for platform updates, training, and support.

“Tebra’s system has completely changed the way I run my practice and now I want to show other medical massage therapists what a benefit this is to their business,” said Watkins in the news release. “Having technology that works well and is fluid has enabled me to be more communicative with my patients. Everything I need is at my fingertips.”

Andrea Kowalski, senior vice president of product for Tebra, said in the news release that seeing how Medi+ssage is aiding vets in need is inspiring.

“Having Tebra play a small role in the outcome of their treatments is what keeps our team motivated to keep innovating,” she said.

Kareo and PatientPop announced they merged in 2021 to form Tebra. The combined company’s mission is to equip independent practices with digital tools to deliver modernized care. The all-in-one solution helps providers support and attract new patients, get paid quickly and operate more efficiently.
