Ivoclar, one of the world's leading providers of integrated solutions for dentists and dental technicians, presented the PrograScan PS7 at IDS 2023 in Cologne, Germany.
According to a press release, PrograScan PS7 is the company’s first high-end lab scanner that can simultaneously scan upper and lower jaw models, in just 10 seconds. For dental technicians, this means that they can complete their work even more rapidly and efficiently. The new scanner is designed especially for dental laboratories with high volume throughputs.
Ivoclar developed the PrograScan family of laboratory scanners which have captivated technicians around the world with their ease of handling, high precision and reliability.
Equipped with two scan tables, two optical light units and eight cameras, the new scanner allows scan jobs to be started with just one click. The pure scan time for two models is 10 seconds with an accuracy of 5 µm. The scanner automatically detects any accessories. And it only takes two minutes for the digital models to be ready in the design software for further processing. These scans allow considerable time savings as they are approximately three times faster compared to sequential scanning procedures.
In combination with the exocad DentalCAD software PrograScan PS7 offers straightforward and intuitive handling, much like the other lab scanners of the PrograScan family. Technology, software and materials are closely coordinated with each other. The new scanner seamlessly integrates with all proven and digital Ivoclar workflows.
Designed for the future
Tobias Specht, senior director GBU Labside at Ivoclar, said in the news release that with its simultaneous scan function, the new PrograScan PS7 provides a forward-thinking solution to meet the rising demands in everyday laboratory practice.
