The BURST Ambassador Community ran a combined 503 miles to raise over $500 for Support and Feed. As a company, BURST multiply by 5 the comunity's donation for a total contribusion of $5,000 to help combat food insecurity!
Support + Feed started in Los Angeles and it has expanded to New York City, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. It’s focus is to have a footprint in cities across the country that are most impacted by food insecurity and climate change.
Animal agriculture is one of the biggest contributors to climate change, deforestation, water and air pollution, and biodiversity loss. Factory farming operations present additional public health risks to nearby communities as viral diseases can spread from sick livestock to humans and the increased use of antibiotics in animals raised for food is rapidly causing antibiotic resistance in the human population.
As a result, expert groups like the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) warns that meat and dairy consumption must be drastically reduced in order to mitigate the disastrous effects of climate change on our planet and our health.
Support + Feed’s mission is to counter the major culprits of environmental destruction by providing nutritious, planet-friendly plant-based food.
