Elisabetta Cotti named new president of the International Federation of Endodontic Associations

Appointment announced during the International Congress in Santiago, Chile


Professor Elisabetta Cotti, director of odontostomatology of the University Hospital of Cagliari, was elected president of the International Federation of Endodontic Associations (IFEA). The federation was formed in 1986 with an aim to promote fellowship amongst endodontists and dentists, national endodontic associations and to promote continuing education in endodontics throughout the world. From 2020 to 2022, Cotti served as the treasurer of IFEA.

She earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery, DDS, degree from the University of Cagliari and obtained a specialization in and a master’s degree in endodontics at the University of Loma Linda in California. 

Cotti is a full professor of conservative dentistry and director of the level II master’s program in clinical and surgical endodontics at the University of Cagliari. She is also responsible for the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at the University Hospital of Cagliari-Monserrato. 

Cotti is an active member of the American Association of Endodontics, the Italian Association of Endodontics and the Italian Academy of Endodontics of the European Association. She is the past president of the Italian Society of Dental Traumatology.

She is a renowned speaker in Italy and abroad and the author of numerous scientific publications and books, including serving as one of the authors of a second edition of the “Manual of Endodontics” published by Edra.
