The global market for surgical loupes and cameras is predicted to grow by a CAGR of 8% across the forecast period of 2022 to 2026, according to a report by market analysts, Fact.MR. The market is forecast to be worth $566.5 million by the end of 2026, after a 2022 valuation of $415 million.
The boom is expected as rates of spending on healthcare increased worldwide, and with it the number of surgeries is anticipated to grow. The surgical camera and loupes industry has also been bolstered by technological improvements
Within the market, surgical cameras are forecast to reach a revenue of $102 million by 2026, with dental loupe cameras leading the way in sales. This is thought to be due to focus on the importance of dental health and maintenance, and a growing elderly population around the world.
At the same time, cosmetic dental procedures have become more popular, also driving demand for dental products. The relative affordability of surgical instruments in dentistry has also aided growth.
By geography, the US is a high revenue area in the market, garnering a value of $138 million in 2022. By comparison, geographies are expected to grow by high rates: Canada and Japan are projected to grow by CAGRs of 6.8% and 6.5%, respectively, by 2026.
