Delta Dental of Colorado (DDCO) has announced the hiring of Keith W. Phillips as its chief financial officer, starting August 11, 2025. In this role, he will assume critical responsibility for overseeing the financial health and strategy of DDCO, its parent company Ensemble Innovation Ventures (EIV), and all EIV subsidiaries.
“I am enthusiastic about joining an organization that has shown an unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and community health,” said Phillips. “I look forward to contributing to Delta Dental of Colorado’s mission of improving the oral health of the communities we serve and leveraging my experience to drive improved outcomes, growth, and financial performance.”
Phillips brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance. He has a strong track record in financial reporting, budget planning, and operational finance and has successfully navigated complex financial issues within large organizations, delivering strategic insights and operational improvements. Phillips comes to DDCO from Humana, where he had been since 2014 after serving in several leadership roles during nine years at General Electric. He most recently served as CFO for the West Division of Humana’s Medicare business. In this role, he oversaw all aspects of financial operations for the division, a $30 billion business spanning 25 states and serving more than two million members.
“Our leadership team is thrilled with the addition of Keith,” said DDCO CEO Helen Drexler. “His extensive experience in healthcare finance and his proven leadership at Humana and General Electric make him an exceptional fit for our organization. We are confident he will help us continue to grow and serve our community.”
Additionally, Phillips currently serves as board treasurer at WaterStep, Inc., a non-governmental organization based in Louisville, KY, that focuses on the significant lack of access to safe water, adequate sanitation facilities, and sufficient hygiene resources and practices around the world. He holds an MBA and a BSBA in accounting from the University of Louisville.
