American Academy of Osseointegration Annual Meeting 2024

Abstracts accepted until Oct. 20


Abstracts are being accepted for “Going Beyond the Boundaries: Optimizing Patient Care Through Scientific and Clinical Innovation,” the theme of the annual meeting of the Academy of Osseointegration. 

The event will be held March 7-9, 2024, in Charlotte, North Carolina and will feature three days of engaging presentations and workshops conveying the latest scientific research and techniques.

Join 1,500 other periodontists, prosthodontists, oral maxillofacial surgeons, general dentists and support staff and earn up to 66.25 hours of continuing education credit. Visit the expansive exhibit hall and network with industry leaders at social events. And, after the event, take in all of the arts and culture, family friendly attractions and magnetic nightlife the “Queen City” has to offer.

Sessions will include: 

  • Hands-on workshops on Soft Tissue Manipulation around Dental Implants and Implant Digital Planning
  • An opening symposium: Peri-implantitis: A Bacterial Disease or Something Else?
  • A keynote talk on How to Prevent and Manage Peri-implantitis Using the Experience Gained from Treating Implant-associated Chronic Osteomyelitis, by Professor Edward Schwarz, University of Rochester Medical Center
  • Implant-prosthodontic Considerations in Peri-implant Disease
  • Surgical Management of Peri-implant Diseases and Conditions
