SmileCon 2023: Registration opens June 7

SmileCon, the American Dental Association’s reimagined dental meeting, delivers endless opportunities for every career stage and specialty. The 2023 meeting will be held in Orlando, Florida, Oct. 5-7.

The ADA announced on June 6 that acclaimed actress Constance Wu will kick off SmileCon 2023 on Oct. 5. Wu will share her personal journey and speak about wellness, one of the key themes at this year’s SmileCon.

Most known for starring in Warner Brother's romantic comedy hit “Crazy Rich Asians,” Wu received a Golden Globe nomination and a Critics Choice nomination for the role. She is also known for her career-launching work as Jessica Huang in ABC’s critically acclaimed comedy series “Fresh off the Boat” and, as a result, was honored as part of TIME's 100 Most Influential People in 2017. The series made Hollywood history as the first American Network TV show to center on an Asian American family in over 20 years.

Dr. Steph Ganter, DDS, and Dr. Bobby McNeill, DDS, MD, are the member hosts of the Opening Session and Saturday Keynote.

Ganter is a board certified periodontal and implant surgeon in private practice at The Dental Specialists – Surgical Specialists. McNeill is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in private practice in Garland, Texas. Together, they are the hosts of the Between Two Teeth YouTube channel.

SmileCon 2023 will include:

  • A night at Universal's Islands of Adventure
  • The best of the best in continuing education
  • More hands-on activities, including a look into the future of AI, and
  • New immersive learning experiences.

Speakers from many of this year’s CE through the Bridge to SmileCon Webinar Series will be live in Orlando.

Dental Central, the heart of SmileCon and its exhibit hall, will be an essential destination with new CE areas, including the Wellness and Oral Medicine Hubs, the popular Podcast and Influencer Hub, Smile Lounges to connect with friends, and premier exhibitors from around the world.
