Dentsply Sirona Validates Lucitone Denture Workflow on Rapid Shape

Dentsply Sirona, the world’s largest diversified manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, and Rapid Shape, a leading innovator in German-engineered dental 3D printing technology, are pleased to announce that the Lucitone Digital Print Denture workflow and material system is now validated on Rapid Shape’s D50+, D90+, and PRO 20 3D printers for digital denture manufacturing.

As the number of skilled dental technicians in the workforce declines, dental labs are under pressure to meet the increasing oral healthcare needs of a growing aging population. This includes the need for efficient, consistent, and high-quality denture production. To address this challenge, Dentsply Sirona and Rapid Shape undertook a joint effort to offer labs of all sizes a reliable solution that enhances productivity, supports increased profitability, and maintains uncompromising material standards by making the Lucitone Digital Print® Denture System—including the comprehensive range of materials and validated workflows featuring BAM!® smart polymer technology—accessible on the Rapid Shape 3D Printing Platform.

The Lucitone Digital Print Denture System is highly regarded for its robust mechanical strength, exceptional tooth durability, and extensive platform for producing both full-arch and partial dentures, available in 16 A-D* tooth shades plus two bleach options. Rapid Shape’s advanced 3D printing solutions—from chairside to high-volume production—feature cutting-edge technology for faster printing and greater efficiency. Integrated into the D50+ and D90+ with their patented Automatic Separation Module, Rapid Shape enables fully automated production of over 120 dentures, eliminating manual intervention.

Redefining denture manufacturing by bringing speed and efficiency to labs, validating all Lucitone Digital Print materials for several Rapid Shape printers—including both premium and economy dentures (Lucitone Digital Print, Lucitone Digital Value, Lucitone Digital IPN, Lucitone Digital Fuse, and the Digital Cure Units)—enables dental laboratories to meet the increased demand for high-quality dentures without necessitating complex assembly methods or long processing times.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Rapid Shape to help more labs deliver premium-quality dentures through the Lucitone Digital Print System,” said Rodrigo Canelhas, Group Vice President, Implants and Prosthetic Solutions at Dentsply Sirona. “By combining our advanced polymer materials with Rapid Shape’s robust 3D printing platforms, we will make it easier than ever for labs to produce dentures that meet the highest clinical and aesthetic standards.”

“Our partnership with Dentsply Sirona highlights our commitment to driving innovation in dental technology and equipping labs with the essential tools for success,” said Andreas Schultheiss, Founder and CEO at Rapid Shape. “By certifying these premium materials for our printers, we empower users to deliver exceptional denture solutions with unwavering confidence—whether in dental labs or through seamless chairside production.”
