Dentsply Sirona, the world’s largest manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, and HeyGears, a leading provider of 3D printing technology and solutions, are pleased to announce that the Lucitone Digital Print Denture workflow and material system is now validated on HeyGears’ UltraCraft A2D and A2D 4K printers for digital denture manufacturing. This new validation will enable dental laboratories to address increased demand for high-quality dentures that do not require complex assembly methods or long processing times. This marks a significant step forward in the evolution of denture manufacturing, bringing cutting-edge technology and materials to dental labs in North America.
Dentsply Sirona and HeyGears are making the Lucitone Digital Print Denture System, including the comprehensive range of materials and validated workflows featuring BAM! smart polymer technology, more accessible. The newly validated workflow for HeyGears printers includes all Lucitone Digital Print materials for both premium and economy dentures: Lucitone Digital Print, Lucitone Digital Value, Lucitone Digital IPN, Lucitone Digital Fuse, and the Digital Cure Units.
With an increasing life expectancy among the aging population and a decline in the number of skilled dental technicians, demand for efficient, high-quality denture production is greater than ever¹. The two companies are committed to helping labs of all sizes meet these challenges, increase production, and achieve greater profitability without compromising on material standards. Thanks to the new validation, labs using HeyGears printers will be able to quickly print single-arch dentures and manage other complex cases, offering greater choice and efficiency to clinicians and their patients.
The Lucitone Digital Print Denture (LDPD) System is renowned for its superior mechanical strength, tooth durability, and comprehensive system for full-arch and partial denture production, available in 16 A-D* + 2 bleach shades for teeth.
HeyGears’ dental 3D printing solutions are designed for streamlined and efficient production workflows through innovative pre-processing and print management software combined with professional 3D printing hardware to provide reliable and accurate results. The UltraCraft A2D 3D printer offers a great first step for labs looking to enhance their digital mass production capabilities with high accuracy and ease of use. The UltraCraft A2D 4K 3D printer provides ultra-high precision and a larger build volume and features compatibility with the HiVE (High-Volume Enabler) automated part removal module for continuous mass production.
“Building on our years of experience and partnership with the dental community, this commitment to expanding access to the LDPD System is a natural next step,” said Bruce Peatey, Group Vice President, Americas, at Dentsply Sirona. “We’ve spoken with many labs and heard about the challenges they face with traditional processes and materials. Our goal is to provide all labs access to the LDPD System, enabling them to quickly produce the most comfortable, technologically sophisticated dentures available today.”
HeyGears shares this commitment to innovation and accessibility. “Our collaboration with Dentsply Sirona underscores our dedication to advancing dental technology and providing labs with the tools they need to succeed,” said Peiyan Gui, CEO and Co-founder of HeyGears. “By validating our UltraCraft A2D and A2D 4K 3D printers for the Lucitone Digital Print Denture System, we’re affirming our belief in the value of integrated solutions while helping to streamline the denture production process and ensure the highest quality outcomes for patients.”
