The global valuation for the dental adhesives market was around $ 2.2 billion in the year 2021, and, according to Future Market Insights, is expected to have a market value of $3.5 billion by 2032.
According to the company and its new report, many facets of restorative and preventative dentistry are starting to change because of the invention and widespread usage of adhesive materials. Since the introduction of bonding adhesives and the development of minimally invasive dentistry, attitudes toward operative dentistry are changing.
The development of these materials and processes has advanced to a point where they are now successful in maintaining teeth rather than needing to have them extracted. Most of these advancements were noticeable in conservative dentistry and adhesive dentistry in particular.
The global market projection is based on growing rates of prosthetic procedures like denture fabrication, increasing awareness of the importance of oral hygiene and the adoption of minimally invasive procedures by dental professionals. At the same time, an aging population is expected to increase demand for denture adhesives.
By region, North America was the leader in 2021 with a global market share of 31.4% based on greater awareness of dental procedures and cosmetic treatments.
By product segment, restorative adhesives led in 2021 with nearly 65% market share based on improved aesthetics and customer preference. Based on formulation, liquid formations are expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.4% across the period as these formations are effortless to use and can be manipulated as required while using them. Moreover, they also adhere the denture to the soft tissues preventing its dislodgement and causing discomfort to the patient.
