Edra acquires Cyan Editors and consolidates scientific activities even in Spain


Edra SpA, parent company of LSWR Group, announces that on 7 May 2019, through its subsidiary Grupo Asís Biomedia SL, it has completed the acquisition of the complete share package of Cyan Editores SL, a Spanish company based in Madrid and leader in Spain and Portugal in training, information and communication activities for dental professionals.

Cyan Editores S.L. publishes the magazine MAXILLARIS which, with over 21 years of presence in Spain and 14 in Portugal, represents today the cultural reference in dentistry in these two countries. His publications regularly reach all clinics, training centers and companies in the dental sector. The reality also makes use of powerful digital channels including its own website, e-mailed newsletters to over 20,000 recipients, applications and social networks with more than 15,000 followers. For all these reasons, MAXILLARIS is today the indispensable tool for information and updating for the over 40,000 dentists and communication for all companies in the dental sector operating in Spain and Portugal. In its two-decade long history, MAXILLARIS has produced publications ranging from the Yearbook of dental implants, a real reference guide in this subject, to the Multimedia Library on disciplines such as periodontology, implantology, surgery and oral medicine. more recently, setting the standards for professional meetings with Maxillaris Day.

"In this way, EDRA will be able to convey the highest quality contents of the Italian sphere to the Spanish language and will provide Italian dentists with scientific evidence highlighted by the major Spanish and Lusitanian experts ". 


The acquisition of Cyan Editores S.L. it represents a new fundamental element in the process of expansion of the Italian group, because it allows to expand the activity in the dental sector consolidating the scientific leadership both in Italy and in the Iberian peninsula, one of its strategic markets. The new Board of Directors will be composed of Giorgio Albonetti (Group Chairman), Giovanni Viganò (Group CFO), Carlos Lacoma (CEO of the Spanish subsidiary Gruppo Asís) and Julio Allué (Director of Finance and Operations of the Asís Group); José Antonio Moyano and Marisol Martín, former shareholders and founders of Cyan Editores S.L .. are also involved in the development project LSWR Group, thanks to this acquisition, lays the foundations to reach consolidated turnover of 44 million euros in 2019 (compared to 40 million euros in 2018). "This operation further strengthens the cultural and scientific leadership in Edra's health and medicine, recognized for bringing innovation, sustainability and resilience to the countries in which it operates" adds Ludovico Baldessin, Chief Business & Content Officer of the group "The entry of Cyan Editores SL consolidates its presence in Spain and the group's international positioning in the dental sector and lays the foundations for the creation of a world-wide reality in this area ".
