Patterson Companies Names New Chief Information Officer

Patterson Companies recently announced the appointment of Wasi Ahmed as chief information officer (CIO), effective August 17, 2026. In this role, Ahmed will report directly to Robert Rajalingam, chief executive officer, and serve as a member of the company’s executive leadership team.

Ahmed brings more than 30 years of technology leadership experience, helping organizations drive growth and transformation across distribution, manufacturing, software, and consumer products industries. Most recently, he served as chief technical and chief information officer at Foundation Building Materials, where he led enterprise-wide SAP modernization, cloud transformation, cybersecurity initiatives, AI-enabled automation, and e-commerce growth. He also oversaw the successful integration of more than 70 acquisitions for a business generating more than $7 billion in revenue.

Prior to Foundation Building Materials, Ahmed served as CIO of Yokohama Tire Corporation of North America and held senior technology leadership positions with Ventura Foods, Pharmavite, and Oracle.
