MAX Surgical Specialty Management, the premier support platform for oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS) practices, today announced its continued expansion in Pennsylvania through two new partnerships, broadening its presence in both Greater Philadelphia and Lancaster County.
These additions bring MAX’s footprint in Pennsylvania to four leading oral surgery groups (six practices in total), each led by elite surgeons committed to breaking new ground in OMS and improving patient outcomes. Building on the foundation established through its 2024 partnership with Lititz Oral Surgery and its 2025 affiliation with Rothman and Kim Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, MAX continues to attract top-tier clinical partners seeking a platform rooted in authenticity, autonomy, and surgical excellence.
Among MAX’s newest partners is Greater Philadelphia Oral Surgery, led by the esteemed Robert Mogyoros, DMD. Renowned for his original research in bone regeneration and grafting, Dr. Mogyoros brings a legacy of academic and clinical innovation. His work has been featured in respected journals and textbooks, and he is a frequent lecturer on bone grafting and dental implantology at both national and international forums.
Also joining the MAX platform is Lebanon & Lancaster Oral Surgery Group, led by James P. Murphy, DMD. A board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and decorated military veteran, Dr. Murphy brings decades of experience shaped by service in the U.S. Army and Air Force. His compassionate approach to care and dedication to mentorship, including clinical instruction at Walter Reed and other top military medical centers, have made him a pillar in the region’s surgical community.
“Surgeons choose MAX because we’ve built something different—by surgeons, for surgeons,” said Jason M. Auerbach, DDS, founder and co-CEO of MAX. “Drs. Mogyoros and Murphy are leaders in their field, and their reputations reflect not just clinical excellence but deep community trust. We’re proud to welcome them to MAX.”
Pennsylvania remains a core strategic market for MAX, bolstered by a robust referral network, consistent population growth, and proximity to elite OMS training programs at the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Pittsburgh, and Temple University.
“I was looking for a partner who understood the legacy we’ve built and could help us stay ahead in a rapidly evolving industry,” said Dr. Murphy.
“MAX’s deep regional knowledge and commitment to individualized support stood out. This partnership amplifies what we’ve worked so hard to build,” said Dr. Mogyoros.
