Glidewell Presents 2024 Guiding Leaders Program

Due to high demand, applications have opened early for Glidewell’s 2024 Guiding Leaders program. Returning for its fourth year, Guiding Leaders is an in-person business and leadership development initiative designed to empower women dentists to expand and improve their practices by discovering their unique strengths.

Guiding Leaders is more than just a continuing education program. Glidewell helps women dentists become key influencers, through peer networking and instruction from top subject matter experts. Selected applicants will explore the nonclinical side of dentistry during the six-month curriculum, which runs from May through October at the Glidewell campus in Southern California.

From interactive courses to sold-out symposia and individual sessions with experienced executive coaches, participants can expect a rewarding experience. Topics include leadership development, practice management, public speaking, negotiation training, personal branding, and financial planning.

The success of the 2022 and 2023 Guiding Leaders programs sets a high bar for the upcoming 2024 program.

“When I have to describe the program in one word, I always say life-changing,” said 2023 Guiding Leader, Dr. Rebekah Browder. “Going into it, I was not sure what it was going to be like. It ended up being so much bigger than my wildest dreams. When I looked around at the other women in the program, I thought… This is impressive company.”

Dr. Browder’s testimony echoes the spirit of sisterhood that keeps Guiding Leaders involved with the program after it ends.

Many Guiding Leaders return as alumni mentors and as speakers at Glidewell symposia.

“I am so privileged to have been a part of this group because it catapulted my career forward and re-energized my spirit,” said 2022 Guiding Leader, Dr. Christina Do. “I also have gained a new family of women leaders who continue to inspire me daily.”

Guiding Leaders visionaries and program directors recognized a need to elevate women dentists. Each year they come up with new ways to build on the existing progress.

“Guiding Leaders was designed to ignite participants’ passion for business acumen, enhance their communication skills, and cultivate a profound sense of teamwork,” said Stephenie Goddard, chief executive officer at Glidewell. “I can’t wait to witness the incredible growth and transformation that awaits each participant on this empowering journey.”

“Having observed three cohorts successfully complete the program, I must say, it’s awe-inspiring what unfolds when you provide these incredible women with the tools and guidance they both desire and require, empowering them to pursue their passions,” said Bobbie Norton, director of strategic partner relations at Glidewell. “I hear numerous alumni say the Guiding Leaders program reignited their love for dentistry.”

The fourth annual Guiding Leaders program launches this upcoming May. All women dentists who live in the United States or Canada with five or more years of clinical experience are invited to apply.
