North American Rescue will also be at the EMS & FIRE PRO Expo (booth #631), where it will showcase its Enhanced ARS® (Air Release System) Decompression needle. The needle incorporates new features that are designed to help improve the safety, efficacy, and speed of needle chest decompression for the treatment of tension pneumothorax. Building on the success of the ARS® needles, the Enhanced ARS® boasts a sharpened needle tip for scalpel-like insertion, three fenestrations in the catheter for faster air pressure release, and, to help prevent the incident of occlusion, centimeter markings to help enable precise insertion depth control.
