KaVo and MELAG have joined forces to create a new team that will drive the future in instrument reprocessing with coordinated product and service offerings. According to a Jan 30 news release, this partnership will aim to continuously make daily work in dental practices safer, more reliable and more effective.

The focus of the sales cooperation is, among other things, joint training for specialized trade partners as well as coordinated marketing and sales campaigns. The companies are also planning joint events for customers around the world. Stronger mutual support is also planned for the future in the area of research and development.

Under the slogan "Dental Excellence," KaVo Dental has offered dental expertise and a premium product portfolio for dental clinics and laboratories for more than 100 years. KaVo also provides premium products and is a world leader in the dental instrument segment with a large number of patents and utility models.

MELAG has established itself as the global market leader in clinic hygiene, based on quality and innovative strength. Since the company was founded more than 70 years ago, MELAG has developed and produced, exclusively in Berlin, Germany, innovative and technologically robust solutions for instrument reprocessing. With its excellent system solutions, including autoclaves, thermo-disinfectors and sealing devices, MELAG is in continuous development of innovative solutions for instrument reprocessing.

KaVo explicitly recommends MELAG products for the reprocessing of its premium instruments, according to the news release.

"The high demands placed on its own products and the values of a traditional innovative company make MELAG the perfect partner for KaVo,” said Armin Imhof, CTO of KaVo. “As a reliable 4-in-1 solution, MELAG's Careclave harmonizes perfectly with our premium KaVo instruments and is therefore also our clear recommendation for the reprocessing of our instruments."

Dr. Niklas Gebauer, managing partner of MELAG, said that KaVo straight handpieces and contra-angle handpieces have always been the benchmark for us, not only in terms of above-average quality and durability.

“We have carried out the test cycle with KaVo instruments during the development of the Careclave," he said in the news release.

At IDS Cologne, which opens on March 14, the MELAG Careclave will be on the KaVo stand and at the MELAG booth the Careclaves will be equipped with high-quality KaVo instruments.
