Leslee Williams, Pamela Von Lehmden promoted to VP roles at ADA

Stephanie Moritz also named chief customer innovation officer

The American Dental Association (ADA) recently announced that Pamela Von Lehmden was promoted to the position of vice president, integrated marketing and brand experience. In this new role, Von Lehmden will oversee functions to accelerate the ADA’s Direct to Dentist (D2D) Customer Group and the overall ADA brand presence focused on delivering member growth, greater awareness and engagement in ADA member values and value offerings.

Most recently, she served as senior director of integrated marketing, brand strategy and innovation, providing strategic development and execution of the ADA brand and vision. Von Lehmden assumed oversight of the ADA Studios, where under her leadership, her team released the Dental Sound Bites™ Podcast – currently ranking among the top 25% of podcasts globally by Buzzsprout. Other content innovations include the Accelerator Series for women in dentistry and the award-winning campaign “A New Day for Dentistry.”

The ADA also announced that Leslee Williams was promoted to the position of vice president, public and professional communications. In this role, she will lead a team of experts in science, dental practice, health policy and government affairs to create and measure communications strategies positioning oral health as essential to overall health, and the ADA as the nation’s leading, trusted oral health resource.

During her 22-year tenure with the ADA, Williams has served in several roles, most recently as the senior director, communications. In this role, she led teams focused on the implementation and measurement of multi-year, omnichannel campaigns that resulted in a double-digit increase in positive or neutral media sentiment over a five-year period.

She also managed the 2Min2x Ad Council Campaign, a children’s oral health omni-channel public service campaign with 35 dental health partner organizations, encouraging children through fun, creative Public Service Announcements to brush two minutes, two times a day to prevent cavities. The campaign results included $78M in donated media and resulted in a 12% increase among English and Spanish-speaking parents and caregivers who said their children brushed more often because of the campaign.

In addition, Stephanie Moritz has been promoted to chief customer innovation officer. In this new role, she will lead the D2D Customer Group by creating value streams for all dentists across all practice modes, including students, employee dentists, the dental team, and industry.

Moritz will lead near-term customer innovation and optimization of experiences, products, services, programming, content and programs for all dentists. She will help the ADA to rapidly respond to unexpected events and the shifting of customer needs, values and demographics by making delivery, products and programs flexible to evolve with the changing landscape and new opportunities.

Moritz recently served as the chief marketing and communications officer, leading the transformation of the association’s integrated marketing and communications strategy, including design thinking, digital and mobile experience, social media, paid media, content strategy, creative production, public affairs, public relations and brand management efforts.
