BIOLASE to produce dentistry docuseries

Katherine E. Pfaff

BIOLASE, Inc., a global leader in dental lasers, has begun working with Providence Film Group to produce a new docuseries, "Talk Dental to Me."

The docuseries will cover the history of dentistry from its dubious beginnings to current technological advancements, including the use of lasers, according to a news release.

From tooth worms and seashell implants to barbers performing tooth extractions, the docuseries will show how dentists have come a long way from the barbaric procedures and agonizing pain once commonly associated with visits to the dentist. However, even with years of advancements, the one element that has not changed is the fear many still feel when we hear the words, "Open wider please!"

Xavier Mitchell, who will serve as executive producer, said he considers BIOLASE to be the Tesla of the dental industry. "Its technology is second to none and will revolutionize the industry," he said.

John Beaver, president and CEO at BIOLASE, said the company believes its technology is superior to any current methodologies in the industry. “As we continue to rapidly gain market share, we look forward to ushering in a new era of dental innovations where laser dentistry becomes the new standard of care,” he said.
