Dawood & Tanner joins Dentex group

One of the largest private practices in the UK, Dawood & Tanner, has joined Dentex, an expanding UK-based dental group. Dawood & Tanner was formed in 1992 when its founders, Dr. Andrew Dawood and Dr. Susan Tanner, acquired a practice in London’s Cavendish Square. The practice has expanded since that time and now offers 14 surgeries, an operating room and two consulting rooms.

Dawood & Tanner engaged Christie & Co, a leading specialist advisor for buying and selling businesses, to assist them with finding the right choice of partner to support the next phase of the business’s growth. Both are fully committed to the long-term development of the practice and will remain in a clinical capacity for the foreseeable future.

A confidential process was undertaken from which Dentex, an expanding UK based dental group, was chosen. A pioneer of the dental partnership model in the UK, Dentex recently announced a merger of its business with Portman, the third largest dental group in the UK.

Simon Hughes, Managing Director – Medical at Christie & Co, said that over the last 30 years, Susan and Andrew have worked tirelessly to create a unique business which is truly a center of excellence and is admired across the dental profession.
