Aspen to go all-digital

Branded dental office firm, The Aspen Group, part of TAG, has transitioned an office to completely digital operations. The move comes as part of a larger initiative to bring all offices digital by the end of next year and lead technology and high-quality dental care for patients. The inaugural office, of about 1,000 across the Aspen network, is located in Pompano Beach, Florida.

"Our digital transformation is one of the biggest innovations our industry has ever seen, and we're proud to lead this digital revolution in dentistry," said Bob Fontana, founder of Aspen Dental and chairman and chief executive officer of TAG. "We're continually looking for ways to bring better care to patients and to provide better tools and training to the hard-working doctors and their teams who we support. The fully digital offices will help us do just that."

Aspen's Florida office changed to digital-only labs, design software, and 3D printers to complete the transition to fully digital operations. The office can digitally print crowns, dentures, night guards, and surgical guides on-site with the devices. In addition to these transitions, offices will be fitted with wireless intraoral scanners and cone-beam computed tomography devices.
