Chef du Monde and EDRA have reached an agreement by which the company, specializing in translation services for the animal health sector, will become part of the leading communications group in the healthcare industry.
The transaction, by which EDRA acquires a 100% stake in Chef du Monde through its Spanish subsidiary Grupo Asís Biomedia, was formalized on Wednesday, January 26. EDRA committed to back Chef du Monde’s commercial expansion through Grupo Asís’s sales force, which operates globally, as well as through EDRA’s subsidiaries that have a direct presence in markets such as the United States, Mexico, Italy and Poland.
For Fabio Ercole, founder of Chef du Monde, “this merger represents a unique opportunity for growth, not just for the company as a whole but also for its employees. Chef du Monde, which is 20 years old, must take the necessary initiative to make a quantitative leap in its development, and could not have found a better family with which to continue its journey.”
For his part, Giorgio Albonetti, president of EDRA, stated that “with this acquisition, EDRA is expanding the portfolio of solutions and services it offers to companies in the healthcare sector in order to meet their needs with respect to the creation and distribution of scientific content.” Ludovico Baldessin, EDRA’s Chief Business & Content Officer, added, “We are welcoming a team to EDRA that has internationalization in its DNA, something that is essential for us to be able to serve our clients in a fully globalized world.”
