Edra Publishing interviewed numerous book authors at the recent International Dental Show in Cologne, Germany.
IDS organizers estimated that attendees numbered 120,000 throughout the convention. This year marked the 100th anniversary of the IDS, which premiered in 1923. The convention featured innovations and new technologies in digital dentistry.
In this interview, Dr. Angelo Cardarelli, adjunct professor at the faculty of medicine and surgery of the Vita-Salute San Raffaele, University of Milan, talked about his background and the book, “Piezoelectric Surgery of Impacted Teeth.”
“This book is unique because in this kind of manual, you can find new approaches in the treatment of impacted teeth,” he said.
Cardarelli said he wanted to write the book because during his daily work, he focuses on the extraction of impacted teeth.
“Is it possible to reduce how invasive the procedure is?” he wondered. The answer is: absolutely yes, said Cardarelli.
