January featured dentist: Dr. Tricia Quartey

Mary Guiden

This month, we are launching a new feature in Dentistry33 to highlight a dentist, dental hygienist or dental industry leader who has piqued our interest.

Our featured dentist for January is Dr. Tricia Quartey, a dentist and chief executive officer at Noble Dental Care, P.C. in Brooklyn, New York. She is also a spokesperson for the American Dental Association.

In November 2022, I met Dr. Tricia Quartey at the Greater New York Dental Meeting. I had been curious about her background after interviewing her for a story about an ADA survey that found more than half of dentists reported patients arriving for appointments high on marijuana. Quartey said at the time that the survey’s findings mirror what she’s experienced in her dental practice.

Quartey is a new mom and a dental practice owner, and an advocate for female dentists. She has been interviewed by Today about viral TikTok videos leading teens to file their teeth and has also talked with reporters about the myths of using charcoal to whiten teeth.

If you’d like to nominate a dentist, dental professional or dental industry leader to be featured, please send me a note at: m.guiden@edrapublishing.com
