Teeth whitening market to reach $7B

Katherine E. Pfaff

The global market for teeth whitening is forecast to grow by a CAGR of 5.08% across the period from 2021 to 2027, according to report by the market research firm, ResearchAndMarkets.com. The increase is expected to amount to a 2027 value of $7.0 billion following the 2021 valuation of $5.2 billion.

The market is expected to grow based on increased interest and knowledge about oral health and hygiene across the globe. This is also coupled with higher rates of consumption of alcoholic drinks, coffees, teas, and cigarette smoking, all of which can impact the coloration or the health of teeth.

In addition to the over-the-counter treatments like whitening gels, rinses, toothpaste, films, whitening kits, and surface whiteners. The trend toward higher use of teeth whitening products coincides with greater interest in cosmetic dentistry.

The wide array of teeth whitening products, including herbal and natural ingredient-containing products or products that offer results instantly, has boosted growth across the market. Additionally, the market of teeth whitening products is heavily marketed, and items are widely available to customers, leading to the high uptake of the products across many geographies.
